BAND INFO
If the time i have set for you is not good please let me know
as soon as possible We may or may not beable to change
To band members: First I would like to thank all band members
ahead of time for coming and sharing your music with us. I hope
that although you are not getting paid in $$ that you are getting
compensated by a friendly audience and fun for all. I do know
and appreciate the effort you all put in to prepare and bring
your equipment etc. Although can't offer you $$ I will offer you
free meat and food. Because you are bringing music for us you
are not obliged to bring a dish but it is still appreciated if
you do . Along those lines I will have extra meat available for
you but you will have to watch the barbq and and get something
off of it before it is consumed by the masses. Typically will
have a ham, turkey and some tri tips. Pizza oven this year too. I apologize that I ussually
have to much on my mind to be monitering the food but just ask
howard and Fred the cooks for something and they can maybe try
to make sure you get something.
Next I want to keep the music flowing and also allow some time
for free form jamming. Though it seems I'm a little over booked.
If you can be ready to perform at the alloted time and to quickly
set up and reduce lag time this would be appreciated. The alloted
time includes setup, tune-up and breakdown of your own equipment.
Here again I may not be monitering this closely so would appreciate
a group effort to stay organized. We will have a drum kit, Dons,
a Premier set that I would like all drummers to use. Sure
you can bring a couple of cymbals and a snare or something and
bongos are cool....but i do not want to have a dragged out set
up time. Same goes with the bass amp. I have a a Peavey combo210TX which blasts pretty well for the bass players and, this year 2012 we will have a Mesa Boogie monster bass amp , so really that should be good ,but Bass players
can decide if they want to use that or bring their own... This
should leave only those pickky guitarist who have to bring all
their own equipment. Here again my Marshall (with new tubes and speaker!)
will be available for any body to use and i have a Mesa Boogie too and I am sure there will
be one of every type of amp and guitar if you dont want to bring
yours. I also Have a Peavey 100 keyboard amp that is available
and a marshall practice amp that blasts and could be miked. We will have plenty of vocal mikes and stands and will be miking guitars and drums and probably run a little bass throught the PA too.
We will have all the pa stuff thanks to varius friends and looks like my new tenant Jon will be setting up his PA which is pretty nice..His
help in this area is really really appreciated and Everybody should
thank him again. On that note please be kind to his equipment
and if you need to do a mike swing (ala roger daltry) or a stage
dive please bring your own mike etc to ruin. Dave V will be helping with a tent cover for the stage and lighting.
I am not responsible for the safety or security of your equipment.(
except for who bring the PA) We have a friendly group and
never a problem
Your welcome to drop off equipment Friday night if you want.
